XtraClean — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-20
XtraClean does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data.
There is no XtraClean server. Everything runs locally in your browser, using your existing logged-in X session.
What XtraClean handles, and where it goes
- Your X content & session are read only within your browser to perform the deletions you request. The only network requests XtraClean makes are to x.com / twitter.com / abs.twimg.com (X's own servers) — exactly what the X website does when you click "Delete."
- Your settings & job progress are stored locally via
chrome.storage.local and never leave your device.
- Backups you export are saved directly to your own computer's Downloads folder.
What XtraClean does NOT do
- No analytics, telemetry, tracking, or advertising.
- No remote code execution.
- No accounts, sign-up, or third-party OAuth grant.
- No transmission of your content to any XtraClean server (none exists).
Permissions
storage — save settings and resume long jobs locally.
alarms — schedule optional Auto-Clean sweeps.
notifications — notify you when a job finishes.
- Host access (x.com / twitter.com / abs.twimg.com) — read your timeline and call X's own delete endpoints in your session. No other sites are accessed.
Data retention
Nothing is stored remotely, so there is nothing for us to retain. To erase all local data, uninstall the extension or clear its storage in your browser's extension settings.
